DENVER — Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses was ranked the fourth largest appliance-only store in the U.S. by TWICE magazine’s 2011 Top 100 Major Appliance Retailers Report, released June 18.
The report, which covers more than 90 percent of major appliance retailers throughout the U.S., is compiled annually by TWICE magazine and market research partner The Stevenson Company. The Denver-based appliance retail and repair company reported $50 million in revenues for 2011, a 19 percent jump from the previous year.
Major appliance retailers like Sears and Lowe’s (also known as “big box” retailers) stayed relatively flat, TWICE magazine reported. Appliance Factory Outlet’s success through a recession was the result of having great people, management and sound business decisions, said CEO Chuck Ewing.
“We’re able to provide better product, better pricing and better service and because of that, we give our customers a better value than our competitors across the board,” Ewing said. “Our customers choose to do business with us because they get more for their money.”
In addition to growth in revenues, Appliance Factory Outlet & Mattresses expanded its Colorado presence with grand openings of three retail stores in the last year. The most recent opening was the June unveiling of a second flagship store in Parker, Colo., and two grand openings of brand-new stores in Littleton and Centennial.
