Sweet Potato Casserole

The Best Sweet Potato Casserole EVER!!!

It’s that time of year again- Thanksgiving is around the corner, fall is in full swing, and sweet potato

recipes are everywhere. Look no further for a recipe to delight and impress your family and friends this

Thanksgiving- this simple, delicious dish has been in my family for a long time, and is sure to become a

family tradition in your home as well!

Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 40-50 minutes



3 cups (2-3) cooked, mashed sweet potatoes, cooled (For best results, cook and mash potatoes at least

24 hours prior to adding to casserole)

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1 tsp. vanilla

½ cup milk

½ cup melted butter


½ cup brown sugar

1/3 cup flour

1/3 cup melted butter

1 cup chopped pecans


Heat the oven to 350° F. Butter a 2-quart casserole or baking dish, or spray with cooking spray.

In a large bowl combine mashed sweet potatoes with 1 cup of brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, milk, and 1/2

cup of melted butter. Blend thoroughly until mixture is the consistency of cottage cheese; spoon the

mixture into the prepared baking dish.

In another bowl combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over top of the sweet potato mixture.

Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until topping is browned. Let stand for 5-10 minutes prior to serving.
