Sparks Flying… in Your Microwave?

Did sparks fly (not the romantic kind) while you were in the middle of heating up your pizza pocket?

An arcing microwave, which is the likely cause of the sparks, happens when the center rack isn’t properly fitted in the rack holder. If arcing repeatedly occurs, it could cause damage to the microwave’s interior paint, as well as permanent damage.

If this paint has already worn off and you continue to see sparks in your microwave, you can touch up the interior with an appliance paint, found at any appliance specialty shop like Appliance Factory Parts. Check out our video above for more details.

Score FREE Appliances if Denver Shuts Out Oakland

Ten years ago, our CEO Chuck Ewing came up with the crazy idea to give away $1,000,000 in free products if Denver’s defense could hold its archrivals in Oakland to zero points.

Today, our Denver Vs. Oakland challenge has become one of our largest fall events. After all, who doesn’t love football and free appliances? Here’s how does it works:

  • Purchase any appliance between $449 and $3,000 from now until Saturday, Sept. 29. Check out some of our sale products here.
  • If Denver shuts out Oakland, bring in your receipt for a full reimbursement of your purchase. Check out full challenge details here.
